HSMAI Europe has appointed Kreab Gavin Anderson as their communications agency, as they expand services across Europe, including London-based events for the first time.

Kreab Gavin Anderson will be working with HSMAI Europe to introduce the organisation initially to the UK market, helping to position them as the meeting place for the hospitality and travel industry, in terms of providing information and updates on key industry trends and the ideal forum for meeting customers. Through doing this Kreab Gavin Anderson aims to make HSMAI Europe an authoritative voice within the hospitality and travel industry whilst appealing to potential members.

The initial focus of Kreab Gavin Anderson’s work will be promoting the HSMAI Revenue Management and Internet Marketing Strategy Conference taking place on Monday 7 February at the Hilton London Metropole. This will then extend to future events, including the upcoming Pan-European Travel Marketer Awards at the London Hilton Park Lane in May, in an effort to raise awareness of HSMAI Europe and attract members.

Deborah Walter, Deputy Managing Partner London of Kreab Gavin Anderson, said:

“We are very excited to be appointed by HSMAI Europe and begin working on raising their profile across Europe as a leading figure within the hospitality and travel industry. It is clear the demand is there for an organisation such as HSMAI to venture into new regions, and with a number of offices across Europe and our extensive experience of cross-border projects, we look forward to helping HSMAI Europe to reach this wide audience of potential members and raise awareness of the compelling events the organisation has to offer.”

Commenting on the appointment of Kreab Gavin Anderson, Ingunn Hofseth, HSMAI Europe CEO & President said:

“Founded in 1927, HSMAI has a strong, established track record globally with chapters in the USA, UAE, Asia Pacific and Europe. As CEO & President of our European arm, my focus is to expand and enhance our pan-European offer with London to become our Head Office. Kreab Gavin Anderson’s vast pan-European network made them an obvious choice as our communications agency and we are very excited about working with them to deliver on our plans in 2011 and beyond.”
