Position Title: Marketing Manager – NORWAY
Reporting to: Area Marketing Director NORDIC
Responsible for: Norway Marketing
Location: Oslo, Norway
Work with the Area Marketing Director on the development and execution of a marketing plan for the Radisson Blu and Park Inn by Radisson brands for the Norwegian markets which is aligned with the commercial goals of Carlson Rezidor and the mission, vision, values and strategic objectives of the brands.
Work with the Area Marketing Director and Central Marketing team to enhance and develop the leisure proposition for both brands.
Work closely with both internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Revenue Management, CRM, PR, hotels, etc) and external parties (creative agencies, media agencies, commercial partners, etc) to implement brand and tactical marketing activities for both the B2C & M&E segment in line with area and central strategy.
Contribute to the overall strategy, performance and profitability of the company.
Represents the needs of the area amongst all stakeholders
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with the Area Marketing Director and relevant stakeholders in developing the annual area marketing plan and helps develop relevant commercial promotions and marketing messages.
Thinks strategically about the business and the leisure consumer to develop targeted customer acquisition, retention and engagement plans for both brand and tactical objectives that can be measured, monitoring effectiveness and adjusting strategies as appropriate
Owns and manages the planning and campaign set up of all tactical and brand marketing activities
Evaluates and identifies need periods new revenue generating opportunities for both brands.
Represents the needs of the region amongst all stakeholders
Executes campaigns, promotions and communications effectively and efficiently across all offline and online channels in accordance with the annual area marketing plan and central marketing strategy
Ensures that a coherent brand message is delivered across all communications and channels
Works with relevant agencies and stakeholders to develop creative, innovative and effective advertising, collateral, sales tools and online assets
Works with relevant agencies and stakeholders to develop cost effective media plans designed to deliver the objectives of the annual area marketing plan
Supports in the internal communication of central and area marketing initiatives to the business
Works with Area eCommerce Manager and central eCommerce team in the implementation of all digital marketing activity for the campaigns.
Develops professional and motivating online content that reflects the tone of voice and positioning of the individual brand
Helps manage brand website content alongside the Area eCommerce Manager.
Develops new and compelling leisure and M&E value propositions for the Norwegian market. Manages marketing activities for existing leisure, meetings and events and business focused products.
CRM / LOYALTY
Develops and manages customer contact strategy, coordinating direct marketing communications to the B2C and B2B customer databases and working with relevant agencies and internal stakeholders to segment and target customers effectively.
Works with central Marketing & CRM team to develop, evolve and leverage the key marketing/loyalty programs to achieve the commercial objectives.
Helps develop strategy and activities to grow the B2C and B2B customer databases
Develops and maintains ongoing relationships with external strategic travel and non-travel partnerships and sponsorships relevant to the B2C & B2B segment.
Identifies and negotiates new partnership opportunities that support revenue generation and brand objectives for the various segments
Provides guidance and support to the business on central, area or hotel level partnership opportunities
Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to mine all available data sources, and looks for opportunities to improve tracking capabilities to monitor customer lifecycle.
Uses consumer data to determine booking trends and identify opportunities for growth across the leisure segment
Tracks, measures and reports productivity of specific campaigns and programmes and evaluates marketing activities to establish ROI, brand impact and effectiveness
Accurately reports on all activity and incorporates learnings into future activities and business planning process.
Conducts ad-hoc research projects as required (i.e. competition scanning, loyalty trends, consumer feedback, brand tracking etc)
Keeps up to date of industry trends, initiatives and insight
Communicates area and central plans and works with hotels to best leverage hotel marketing budgets
Provides guidance and support to UK & Ireland hotels across both brands in relation to local hotel marketing plans & activities
Supports new openings by helping define leisure market positioning and the integration of new hotels into the area/central leisure marketing programmes & promotions
Co-ordinates any necessary hotel level training or guidelines in relation to area leisure marketing initiatives
Exercises cost controls on all projects/activities and manages project budgets efficiently and accurately

- Fosters and develops effective employee relations between all departments at Rezidor Head Office, Region and hotels within the assigned region
- Keeps effective internal communications, including regular meetings with the Marketing team
- Continuously seeks to endeavour and improve the departments efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function
- Attends meetings and training as required by the Marketing Dept
