Perra is also a valued member of the HSMAI Region Europe Revenue Management Advisory Board. Besides that, Perra is working closely with HSMAI Region Europe on the many activities that are taking place in Sweden this year and moving forward.
Q: What does a day at work consist of for you?
A: No day is really the same as it depends where I am in the Nordics. But normally i focus in the morning to make sure all data coming into our database is correct, solving possible errors to make sure all hotels, restaurants, conference venues get their benchmarking reports for their morning meetings. Also as my team is based all over the Nordics, I make sure to speak to them regularly to be up to date with their business development and coaching them.
Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: Flexibility of being able to work from wherever I am and my team around me.
Q: Do you have anyone you’ve looked up to?
A: While living in Nevada, USA as exchange student, I got to know Patricia (unfortunately passed away a few years ago) that run motels around Nevada, and she is the reason I started my career in the Hospitality Industry.
Q: Do you have any nice traditions at your office?
A: As we are a pretty young company as well, with a team spread out in seven countries, we take every opportunity to make sure we have fun in combination with meeting when we meet.
Q: How long have you been a member of HSMAI?
A: Soon three years.
Q: What do you think is the best thing about HSMAI?
A: Networking, staying up to date with the challenges the hospitality industry facing.
Q: Are there any activities or projects you think HSMAI should start up?
A: Focus on mentor program is about to start and I think even more focus on younger members already at hotel schools to get them onboard HSMAI already then.
Q: Describe your perfect weekend.
A: Staying home and unplug from all emails and calls. Relaxing in the garden and meeting friends and cooking nice dinners with great wine.
Q: If you were trapped on a desert island, what would you take with you, if you could choose one thing?
A: A nice bottle of wine to enjoy the sun set.
Q: What is the title of the book about your life?
A: The networking guy. I love meeting new people as well as staying in contact via social media with old friends and many people always reminds me how good I am at networking.
Q: What is your next travel destination?
A: Milan.
Q: Do you have any special hobbies?
A: My wine cellar.
